Lindenblüten-Absolue

I usually avoid florals because they can go soapy on me, but this one stays green and slightly waxy in the opening before settling into something warmer. Wore it to a dinner and kept catching it on my scarf hours later.

I expected something soft and honeyed, but this absolute has a sharper, almost tea-like edge at first. It settles into a lovely floral after about twenty minutes on skin though, and a little goes a long way.

The linden blossom opens greener than I expected, almost like crushed leaves, before it softens into that honeyed floral. It wears close to the skin after an hour, so I do wish it lasted longer. Still a genuinely pretty spring scent.
