Galanga

I've worn a lot of ginger-forward scents that go sharp and soapy on my skin, but this one stays warm and rooty for hours. It's my first fragrance from this house and I get why people call the compositions artistic.

I was expecting something sharp and medicinal, but this settles into a warm, almost gingery spice on my skin within twenty minutes. It's artistic without being difficult to wear, which is rare for a house this creative.

The galangal note comes through sharp and citrusy at first spray, then settles into something warmer and almost spicy on my skin. It lasts a solid six hours before fading, which is longer than most fragrances I've tried. Genuinely one of the more unusual scents I own.
