Gezouten Roos (Akkoord)

The salt note hits first, then the rose creeps in underneath and stays close to the skin for hours. As an accord it's basically a building block, but I've been layering it over plain unscented lotion and it holds up fine on its own too.

Wore this on a rainy Tuesday and couldn't stop smelling my wrist. The rose is there but it's the salty edge underneath that keeps it from going sweet or soapy. As an accord it layers beautifully over a plain musk too.

I sniffed this right from the bottle and then on my wrist, and the salty twist makes the rose feel almost crystalline instead of stuffy. It's the kind of accord that rewards slow, close attention rather than a big spray-and-go, which I actually love for layering.
