Absolu d'Œillet

I’ve been layering this over a plain lotion before bed, and the carnation note feels rich without being powdery or old-fashioned. The bottle is a standard size, but a little goes a long way, so it’s lasting me longer than I expected.

The opening hit is so true to the flower—waxy, spicy, and a little sweet, just like a fresh carnation from the garden. It lasts for hours on my skin without turning powdery or harsh. This is exactly the refined, artistic take on a classic I was hoping for.

The dry-down is where this really shines—smooth and warm without losing the floral character. I wish the bottle came with a tighter cap, but the scent itself lasts a solid few hours on my skin.
