Sake (sointu)

I've never smelled an accord that actually captures sake before, and this one does it without turning sharp or boozy. Wearing it solo is nice, but layering it under a soft floral really brings out that clean, dry finish. The refined feel matches what I'd expect from an award-winning house.

The ricey, slightly sweet opening is what sold me — it really does smell like warm sake rather than a generic floral. Wore it to a dinner party and two people asked what I had on.

I've never smelled a sake accord before, but this one is shockingly true to the real thing — that soft rice sweetness up top with a dry, almost mineral finish. It stays close to the skin for a few hours, which suits me fine since I wear it layered under woody scents.
