Metalliruusu (sointu)

I've worn a lot of rose perfumes and this accord is the first one that actually smells like a rose still on the stem, thorns and all. As a layering base it holds up beautifully under almost anything, though a little goes a long way.

This rose accord smells like actual petals crushed against cold metal, which sounds harsh but it's weirdly addictive. I dabbed it on before dinner and kept catching my own wrist all night.

I was worried a metallic rose would smell cold, but on my skin it blooms warm and green within ten minutes. The rose stays the whole way through, and it's the accord style that makes it feel layered rather than flat.
